Who am I?

Midwest born, Texan at heart, my life has been a journey marked by resilience, adaptability, and a deep-rooted love for creativity. As a high school freshman, I had an opportunity to join senior AP art classes, sparking a passion that felt like the beginning of a lifelong adventure in the arts. But life had other plans. Determined to build a stable future, my path took me into the finance industry, where I honed my skills for many years—though my artistic side lay dormant, waiting for the right moment to reemerge.

Years later, as life settled into a rhythm with a happy marriage. I found my way back to creativity through jewelry making. When I moved to Houston, my sister-in-law, Lotus, encouraged me to try leatherworking, and a new chapter began. I started with repurposed leathers—soft suedes and sturdy hides, breathing new life into these materials. But I quickly realized the challenges of manipulating leather with a domestic sewing machine, especially with my limited sewing skills at the time.

So, I set out to learn. I taught myself to sew and fell in love with creating my own clothing, often repurposing old pieces and creating everything from custom clothing to accessories for myself and my beloved pets. —an endless source of joy and inspiration. As a huge supporter of pet rescue, I found a niche crafting collars, bows, and pet clothes, as well as functional leather goods for all. The joy of transforming raw materials into something beautiful and functional sparked a passion that only grew as time went on.

Working at Third Coast Clay reignited my artistic drive, and I began experimenting with ceramics, creating small, meaningful pieces that held a piece of my story. Meanwhile, I returned to leatherworking with renewed focus, embracing cowhide to craft dog collars, keychains, coasters, and ornaments. Along the way, I’ve even dabbled in digital art, adding another dimension to my creative toolkit. Each piece reflects my journey—blending resilience with creativity, practicality with artistry.

My dream is to create custom leather bags, steampunk-inspired pieces, and eclectic art for fellow animal lovers and free spirits alike.

For me, every stitch and molded piece tells a story—a blend of my passion for art, my love for pets, and a creative journey that knows no bounds.
